Goodnight Moon is an interactive wearable that rotates from full to new moon as you lay your head down and fall asleep. It is a work in progress, and I hope to perfect it over time!
To get technical with it:
The wearable uses an Adafruit LSM6DSOX to sense the proximity of a magnet sewn into a bracelet. When you lay your head down onto your arms, the LSM6DSOX communicates through the Arduino UNO Redboard to the Sparkfun TB6612FNG Motor Driver, then finally to the Adafruit Hobby Motor with Encoder to spin a gear with an acrylic disk attached. The encoder knows how many degrees it has rotated, and will rotate to the location you assign. In this case, I am working on coding it to stop at the new moon, use event detection to tell that I have moved away from the magnet, then in turn rotate back to the full moon phase.
